I've torn myself from the comfort and err, heat, of my bedroom to update this journal as I've been racked with guilt for the past week due to my laziness regarding writing as of late.
Actually, that is not *quite* true; but, let that be a message to you, Toberono, my friend, if you're out there reading this! I care about my readers and wish for their happiness. I know that writing in this blog contributes greatly to their well-being, as would writing in yours, if you could ever find your way to the keyboard again!
So, because I am dangerously fatigued right now, I will give just a quick update as to the events of the past week:
- due to the pleadings of my ever unique fiance - i.e. "i cut the cat's toenails this morning.. with scissors.. and, uh, i cut one in too far and he was bleeding everywhere - in fact, he bled all over our nice white bedspread so i crumpled it in the corner and it will have to be thrown out - and anyway, he was still bleeding when i left this morning, and no, i didn't do anything to stop it, so now i'm thinking that he might be at home bleeding to death - would you mind leaving work 2 hours early (even though you only work 3 hours there) to see if he's OK?" Of course! No problem at all! Let me just rush home to see if our cat is dead or not. So anyway, I rushed home, only to find that he was perfectly fine and begging, as always, for his can of Fancy.
- last Saturday night was spent playing board games - Balderdash, Taboo, etc. - and watching Rock Star INXS with a couple gay guys, drinking beer. It was truly the return of "family night," and overtly enjoyed by all.
- Kiefer Sutherland said "hey" to Craig last night and Craig wittily said "hey" in return. It was a shining moment.
- last night, I came home exhausted only to be alerted by my landlord that he would be showing the apartment in 2 hours (8 pm). Oh yeah and he also *desperately* needed a box of knobs done for the next morning at 7 am. Despite realizing that his request was not only immoral, not to mention "illegal" in terms of the Ontario Renter's Act or whatever that damn thing is called, I obliged. I cleaned the bathroom, the bedroom, the kitchen, did laundry, did a load of dishes, vacuumed, cleaned the living room, cleaned out the cat's litter box, brushed and "washed" the cat, etc. Only to find that the girl who came to look at stepped in, looked around for about, oh, 30 seconds and then left. She and her friend (a girl) are renting together, so why would she even come to look at a 1 bedroom apartment! ERRRRRRRRRR.
Well, I'm pretty exhausted and not feeling too well right now (i suffer from headaches that emanate from my eyes because I stare at a computer screen all day long, then make me nauseous because i've been battling the headache for a couple hours... plus this heat is NO fun at all...) SO: I'm going to bed.
Perhaps I will write something inspired tomorrow.

hi it's eva
Just wanted to leave you a comment as you requested in one of your past entries. Your blog does contribute to my well-being. I just like to have this connection to you since you are so far away...but not for long! Which I wanted to ask you about - are you prepared for your trip home? Like, I mean to be around Sandra, maybe BJ, and your ma? Ok, next thing - I know we have to go to the beach one day, but what else are you hoping to do? Maybe you could come over here for a meal or something so me, you and Brian can spend time together. And I was also thinking about a trip to Upper Clements Park or something - just give me a sense of what you envision for your time at home. And just for clarification - is Craig coming as well? Ok tt you soon.Anonymous
